In the ongoing Sharadha scam probe, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today served notice to Saumendu Adhikary, chairman of Contai municipality in East Midnapore district and son of Trinamul Congress MP Sisir Adhikari to appear before the investigating officers in Kolkata. Adhikary has been asked to present at the CBI office at CGO Complex in Kolkata on January 19.<br/><br/>CBI has asked Adhikary to submit details of the financial transaction of the municipality after noticing several discrepancies in the funds of the municipality. The civic body had sanctioned a Sharadha realty project in the town.
