Sharad Pawar leaves for Moscow to attend BRIC Agriculture Ministers’ Meet

Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar has left for Moscow to participate in Brazil, Russia, India, China (BRIC) Agriculture Ministers’ Meeting. Mr. Pawar is heading a high level Indian delegation which will take part in the three day deliberations starting today.<br/><br/>He will also be meeting Russian First Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Victor, Jubkov and will be holding bilateral discussion with their Russian, Brazilian and Chinese counterparts during the visit. He will also have interaction with representatives of Russian industry.<br/><br/>The Agriculture Ministers of BRIC countries will explore the possibilities of cooperation in the field of agriculture and allied sectors. After the meeting a declaration will be issued. The outcome of the meeting would be reported to the BRIC Summit being held in Brasilia on 16th Aplril which will be attended by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.
