One of the leading construction companies of India, Shapoorji Pallonji was named the 'Contractor of the Year' at this year's Qatar Contractors Forum & Awards ceremony for the year 2014. The Mumbai based construction giant was awarded top honors at a function in Doha organized by the International Quality & Productivity Centre. Shapoorji Pallonji is currently working on several key projects in West Asia Middle East, North Africa and Sub Saharan African region. The Indian group was recently shortlisted to bid for the contract for two FIFA World Cup 2022 stadiums, the modular Al Bayt stadium which will have a capacity of 32,000 spectators and the Al-Wakrah with a 45,000-capacity. The company celebrates its 150 th year in 2015 and has already made a mark in the region for its work ethics.
