Three common convicts in Shakti Mills gangrape case sentenced to death by Mumbai court for repeated offence. Three of the common accused were yesterday held guilty in the photojournalist gang rape case under an amended IPC section 376-E, which entails death penalty, for committing repeated offence.
The trio, Kasim Bengali, Vijay Jadhav and Mohammed Salim Ansari, were earlier convicted in the gang-rape case of a telephone operator at the same Shakti Mills compound and sentenced to life imprisonment in that case.
The 23-year-old photo journalist of a magazine was gangraped by five persons including a minor when she had gone to the Shakti Mills compound in the Central Mumbai with a male colleague on an assignment.
