Shakib to lead Bangladesh team in ICC T20 WC

All rounder Shakib Al Hasan will lead the Bangladesh team in the upcoming ICC Twenty-20 World Cup scheduled to be held in West Indies. The Bangladesh Cricket board today announced a 15 member squad for the tournament which will begin from April 30th this year. Top-order batsman Jahirul Islam, who made his Test debut earlier this month against England and all-rounder Mohammed Sohrawordi who had played his first international for Bangladesh in the ODI Series against England have been included in the twenty -20 squad for the first time. Fast bowler Masrafe Bin Mortaza, who played only in the opening one-dayer against England and Mohammad Ashraful, who was dropped from the test and ODI squad against England have been recalled to the team.The selection committee has named Wicket keeper Mushfiqur Rahim who has been having a good run with his bat in both the recent series against India and England as the Vice -Captain. Bangladesh face a tough challenge in the tournament as they are placed in group A with Pakistan and Australia. The 15 member squad is as follows:Shakib Al Hasan (Captain), Mushfiqur Rahim (Vice-Captain/WK), Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Mohammad Ashraful, Aftab Ahmed, Mahmudullah, Naeem Islam, Masrafe Bin Mortaza, Abdur Razzak, Shafiul Islam, Rubel Hossain, Syed Rasel, Md. Sohrawordi, Jahirul Islam.
