Shahzad's arrest vindicates India's stand, says Krishna

The government today said that the recent arrest of a man of Pakistani origin for a bid to set off a car bomb in New York has vindicated India's stand that the epicentre of terror is only one country, apparently referring to Pakistan. Replying to a question in Rajya Sabha, the External Affairs Minister Mr. S.M. Krishna said that its strengthens India's position on the issue. He said the US will be able to understand the terror emanating from Pakistan can strike anywhere. Recently Pakistan born Faisal Shahzad was arrested just before on midnight Monday for his failed bid to set off car bomb at Times Square in New York on Saturday.<br/>Mr. S.M. Krishna informed the House that the US has assured New Delhi that India's concerns will be kept in mind while giving such assistance which will be monitored. With regard to the US plan to supply Drones to Pakistan, Mr. Krishna said that India did not oppose it because US has put a condition that drones will not be used against India.<br/>
