<span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Bhartiya Janta Party Spokesperson and former Union Minister Syed Shahnawaaz Hussain addressed a convention of Party workers at Bonigam in Qazigund area of Kulgam district today.<br />'' <br />'' While addressing the party workers,  Shahnawaaz Hussain said, the people associated with the Gupkar Declaration had earlier decided not to contest the forthcoming elections in Jammu  and Kashmir.  He said that when they saw the common people taking part in these elections they came up with the alliance called "Gupkar Declaration" which will prove to be a "Death Declaration for Dynasty and Destructive Politics" in Jammu and Kashmir and the people will teach them a lesson in the coming polls. He also said that this alliance has not been formed for elections. He said that they have come up with the alliance only to save themselves because they know they have done wrong and they will have to pay for their wrongdoings.<br />'' <br />'' Syed Shahnawaz Hussain further said that the motive behind conducting DDC elections is that there should be people's participation in the political process. However, he maintained that some leaders were trying to mislead common people and were becoming a hurdle in the political and democratic process. He said that for the last 70 years, even  only half of those funds would have been utilized for the development in J&K, the roads would have been made of silver and gold but these leaders built bungalows for themselves in every nook and corner of the world.</span><br />''
