The Serious Fraud Investigation Office, SFIO has completed investigation in 95 cases of corporate crimes. While four cases have been stayed by the courts, the remaining 34 are presently under investigation. Giving this information in the Lok Sabha today, Corporate Affairs Minister Sachin Pilot said the SFIO was entrusted with 133 cases since its inception. It has been dealing with cases of violations of the Companies Act, 1956, criminal breach of trust, cheating and falsifications. Conviction was ordered by the respective Courts in 39 cases relating to these violations, the Minister said.
