Seychelles invites Indian businessmen to invest in various sectors

Seychelles has invited the Indian businessmen to invest in various sectors in the country. <br/><br/>Addressing the captains of industry in New Delhi today, the visiting Seychelles President James Alix Michel identified various areas like fishing, marine, aqua-culture, IT, ITC and aviation where Indian businessmen could invest. <br/><br/>Mr. Michel said that oil exploration is another field where Seychelles would benefit from India's rich experience. He said that later this month a bilateral cooperation on aviation is likely to be inked between the two countries which will enhance tourism and economic bilateral cooperation. <br/><br/>Earlier in the day,India and Seychelles signed an agreement for bilateral investment protection. The agreement was signed after the delegation level talks between the Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh and the Visiting president . <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that the focus of discussions at the talks remained on security and Defence collaboration particularly dealing with piracy in the Indian Ocean. <br/><br/>Earlier the visiting president was accorded ceremonial reception at the fore court of Rashtrapati Bhawan.<br/><br/>The visiting President also met Minister of State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur today and discussed issues of mutual interest.<br/><br/>The President, Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil is hosting a banquet in the honour of the visiting dignitary this evening. This is President Michel’s second visit to India. He had earlier visited India in 2005.
