The Bihar government decided to provide sewerage treatment system to all towns on the bank of river Ganges from Buxar to Bhagalpur to make the river pollution free. The state government has already sanctioned sewerage projects for towns like Buxar, Hajipur, Munger and Begusarai towns. A decision was taken at a meeting of officials in Patna today to prepare the detailed project reports for a similar system in the remaining 21 towns on the river bank in Bihar. The meeting held by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reviewed the projects and decided to speed up the process.
