Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in many parts of the northern region. In UP, the mercury has shot up to 47 degrees Celsius. The temperature has broken previous records in many districts. The day’s maximum temperature has gone 3 to 5 degrees above normal at most of the places. At least two deaths have been reported due to heat wave in past 24 hours in the state. Dusty winds and rising mercury continued to scorch Rajasthan as well with the average temperature staying above 40 degrees Celsius in most places.degrees Celsius.
