In Uttar Pradesh, severe heat wave continues unabated affecting normal life. The dust storm also continues to lash several parts of the state causing damage to life and property. Eleven people have been killed in storm related incidents in the state during last 24 hours. Bundelkhand is worst affected where even the night temperature is up to five degrees above normal. Allahabad recorded 34 degrees Celsius at 8:30 this morning whereas the district’s maximum temperature remained 43.7 degrees, two notches above normal during last 24 hours. Varanasi recorded a maximum temperature of 44.9 degrees, Lucknow 42.6, Bareilly 42 and Gorakhpur 41.4 degrees Celsius. Our Gorakhpur correspondent reports that the city dwellers are spending sleepless nights as the minimum temperature is up by five degrees in many areas. <br/>
