Severe heat wave affects normal life in most parts of India

The heatwave continues to sweep most part of the country with the temperature hovering above 45 degree celsius at many places. Bhusawal in Maharashtra recorded a sizzling 47.5 degree celsius. <br/> <br/>In Rajasthan maximum temperature is continuously increasing all over the state. Our correspondent reports that the state government has changed the timings of primary schools from Monday.<br/> <br/>In Punjab, Patiala was the hottest place at a high of 45.5 degrees. AIR correspondent reports that Chandigarh experienced the hottest April day at 42.7 degrees, breaking a 30-year-old record. <br/> <br/>The Met office said, Hisar in Haryana experienced a high of 44.1 degree, seven degrees above normal. <br/> <br/>In Uttarakhand, capital Dehradun saw the mercury settle at 39 degrees. However, in Himachal Pradesh, light showers and overcast skies in some parts brought down the mercury.<br/>
