Severe heat is continuing in Rajasthan. On Wednesday Sri Ganganagar was the hottest place where mercury touched 47.4 degree Celsius. At Churu today maximum temperature was 47 degree. AIR correspondence reports that heat wave like situation is continuing since last one week in northern and western parts of the state.Entire Rajasthan is now desperately waiting for the monsoon but according to MET office still people have to wait for few days for pre monsoon activities. In the southern parts light rain fall was recorded on Wednesday but rest of the state is still facing scorching heat.Maximum temperature is continuously above 42 degree Celsius at Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Jaipur since last six days. 2 persons in Hanumangarh and 1 in Jhunjunu died due to severe heat on Wednesday.In rural areas power cut has increased the impact of heat, Energy Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh said that Government is taking all possible measures for regular power supply and only one, Two, three hours power cut for domestic consumers is taking place in the state.
