Cyclone Laila in the West Central Bay of Bengal is now lay centered at 120 Kms south of Machlipatnam and cyclone is expected to cross the coast near Machlipatnam between Kavali and Kakinada between 12 to 5 PM today.<br/> <br/>AIR correspondent reports that the cyclone will weaken after touching the coast and re-enter the sea to become a deep depression and gradually weaken near Balasore in Orissa after passing over north coastal Andhra Pradesh. <br/><br/>Thousands of people living in vulnerable villages along the coastline in Krishna, Guntur, East and West Godavari districts, were shifted to safer places. <br/><br/>AIR Hyderbad correspondent reports that the entire state administration has been put on high alert and control rooms set up at Secretariat and the office of the Director General of Police are coordinating with districts in rescue and relief operations round the clock. <br/> <br/>The cyclonic storm is likely to trigger heavy rain at some places in south and north Orissa today. The weathermen have also predicted heavy rain in the Gangetic West Bengal from this evening. <br/>
