Several areas in northern India were in the grip of cold wave today. Delhi continued to reel under severe cold conditions as the minimum temperature was recorded 2.4 degrees Celsius this morning.<br />'' <br />'' In Himachal Pradesh, a number of places of tourist attraction shivered at sub-zero temperatures. Keylong recorded the lowest temperature in the state at minus 10 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in Dalhousie was recorded 0.1 degrees Celsius while it was  1.4 degrees Celsius in Shimla. Indian Meteorological Department said day temperatures have risen by 3 to 7-degree Celsius over most parts of northern plains of India.<br />'' <br />'' The IMD said, improvement in cold wave conditions and its abatement is very likely during next 24 hours. Cold Day conditions have abated from entire Bihar and severe cold day conditions have reduced into cold day conditions over northern parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.<br />'' <br />'' IMD has predicted snow and rainfall in many places of middle, high hills of the state and thundershowers in the plains till the next seven days.<br />'' <br />'' Due to favourable meteorological conditions, dense to very dense fog in isolated pockets are likely over Punjab and isolated pockets over Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar during next 24 hours.<br />'' <br />'' The Weathermen have predicted scattered to fairly widespread rainfall accompanied with thunderstorms, lightning and hail likely in major parts of northwest, east India and Central India during next 72 hours.<br />''  <br />
