The national capital Delhi continues to be under the grip of the severe cold as the minimum temperature further dropped to 2.9 degree Celsius this morning on the coldest day of season. AIR correspondent reports that the Met Department has predicted further fall in the mercury in the coming days.Delhiites woke up to the coldest Christmas in five years on Sunday as the mercury plunged to a new low of 2.9 degrees Celsius five degrees below normal. Due to the biting cold most people preferred to remain in homes despite a holiday. Their seems to be no respite from chilling cold as the Met department has predicted that the severe cold conditions are likely to continue for some more days. Meanwhile dense fog in North India has hampered train movement with scores of Delhi bound trains arriving several hours late.
