Severals activities being held across country ahead of the International Yoga day on Monday

<span style="color: #222222;">The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) proclaimed 21st June as the International Day of Yoga (IDY) in their resolution adopted on 11th December 2014. Since 2015, this Day has been observed all over the world in various creative ways. This year considering the COVID-19 Pandemic-led situation, most of the events will take place virtually, promoting the main theme of this year ‘Be with Yoga, Be at Home.'<br />”<br />”In Vijayawada postal division, several activities are being organised in connection with International Yoga Day. Vijayawada postal division Senior superintendent, Sri KVLN Murty in his brief to the media said the activities include displaying banners relating to IDY-2021 at the post offices.<br />”<br />”The theme of &nbsp;International Yoga Day -2021 is ‘Be with Yoga- Be at home’. Online yoga workshop by a professional yoga guru to educate staff about yogasanas is also being held. Photos of postal staff practicing yogasanas are being uploaded through ‘Yoga &amp; me’ online photography contest. IDY plantation drive is also being conducted. &nbsp;<br />”<br />”IDY Pledge was taken by the postal staff. These activities were primarily conducted to increase the awareness about yoga among postal staff and its customers and thereby increase the reach of yoga and its benefits.</span><br />
