Several western UP districts afflicted with infectious diseases

In Uttar Pradesh, several western districts are afflicted with infectious diseases as the flood water has receded from a major area. All major rivers including the Ganga, Yamuna, Ramganga, Kali and several tributaries are receding. Ganga, Ramganga and Yamuna have receded below the danger mark at many places. At least 13 people have succumbed to viral fever and infectious diseases in Bareilly district during the last 24 hours. More than seven thousand people are suffering from Viral Fever, Dengue, Swine Flu, Brain Fever and Eye Flu. As many as 93 people have succumbed to infectious diseases in Fatehpur during current spell of flood.
