In Uttar Pradesh, water levels of major rivers have crossed the danger mark at three places. According to central water commission main rivers are rising in different places but there is no immediate flood threat in most of places in Uttar Pradesh. Met department says, scattered light rainfall was recorded in different regions in last twenty four hours. But Bundelkhand region has received good rain fall in last twenty four hours .According to Met department in Lalitpur about 70 mm rain fall recorded and in Bijnore more than 60 mm rain fall was recorded in last twelve hours . Heavy rain in the past day has also increased the water level of almost all the major river of Manipur, Imphal River, Iril River, Thoubal River and Nambu River are flowing at the flood level. Many low lying areas including paddy have been submerged and several hectares of standing crops were damaged. Fish farms were washed away. Severely affected areas are Khangabok, Thoubal, Wandgjing, Sugnu, Wangoo in Thoubal District. Konthoujam and Khabi in Imphal West District, Nambol and Oinam in Bishnupur Districs. The water Level of Loktak lake, the largest fresh water lake in the North-East is also on the rise affecting nearby paddy fields and fish farms. Among the hill districts of Manipur, several hectares of paddy and maize growing fields have been submerged by flash flood overflowed from Chakpi River near the Chandel District Headquarters at a stretch of about two kilometers.
