In West Bengal, several programmes were held on the occasion of the 93rd birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi. A street march was organized by the West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee. It ended at the statue of Indira Gandhi near the Birla Planetorium in Kolkata. West Bengal State Congress Committee President Dr. Manas Bhuiyan said that a commemorate gathering will take place on 21st on this month in memory of the late Chief Minister Sidhartha Shankar Ray. He said that the Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherje will be present at the gathering.
