Several parts of country reel under heat wave

Heat wave conditions prevailing in Gujarat will continue for another couple of days. According to the weather department, the maximum temperature will remain around 44 degree Celsius in many parts of the State during the next two days. Ahmedabad city had recorded maximum temperature 44.7 degree Celsius on Sunday afternoon.<br/><br/>AIR Ahmedabad correspondent reports that four pilgrims were died due to extreme heat wave conditions at Jain Pilgrimage Palitana in Bhavnagar district.<br/><br/>On Sunday, incidents of road accidents also increased due to heat wave conditions. About 24 people have been killed in different road accidents in the State during the past 24 hours.<br/> <br/>In Rajasthan, Normal life has been affected due to severe heat wave. In Sriganganagar a maximum temperature was 48 degree Celsius was recorded on Sunday. The temperature is on the rise at most of the places since on Monday morning. 43 degree Celsius was recorded in Churu, Barmer, Kota and Sriganganagar. AIR Jaipur correspondent reports that power cut and problem of drinking water have doubled the impact of heat.
