Several new agreements are believed to have been finalized in the 16th Indo-Russian Inter governmental Commission meeting that concluded in New Delhi this evening. Agreements in pharmaceuticals, energy , hydro carbon and other sectors are likely to be signed after summit level talks between the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev next month. Preparations for the summit meeting figured prominently in the talks.External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna led the Indian side in the talks while the Russian side was headed by Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov. Official sources said that that the Commission meeting focussed on expanding economic partnership between the two countries. Our correspondent reports that a number of future projects were also identified to widen and diversify the strategic cooperation between the two countries.
