Several Maha leaders attend funeral of senior BJP leader Ram Kapse

The last rites of senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Lt Governor of Andaman Nicobar Islands, Ram Kapse were performed at Kalyan in adjoining Thane district this afternoon. The funeral was attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Education Minister Vinod Tawde, Legislative Assembly Chairperson Haribhau Bagde and state BJP Raosaheb Danve. <br/><br/>Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis while condoling the death of Ram Kapse said he is deeply saddened by the death of a great Parliamentarian. Fadnavis said Rambhau was a great of inspiration and a prominent leader who expanded the party base in Maharashtra. He also worked to solve the problems of common man.<br/><br/>Ram Kapse passed away at 4 am at his residence in Kalyan after a prolonged illness. He was 82. Maharashtra BJP chief spokesperson Madhav Bhandari informed that Kapse had been ailing for the last eight years. Kapse, born on December 1, 1933 represented Thane in the 9th and 10th Lok Sabha.
