Several IAS, IPS officers acquire more than one flat from govt quota: Chavan

Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan on Wednesday admitted that several officers of the ranks of IAS and IPS have acquired more than one flat from the government quota.Mr. Chavan stated that apart from these officials, political workers have also acquired more than one flat in their or relative’s name from the government quota.In a supplementary question, Opposition Leader Vinod Tawade alleged that some bureaucrats and politicians have acquired more than one flat from the government quota on his/her or name of their relatives. He also demanded that action should be taken against those persons.Replying to it, Chavan said that after the Adarsh commission report is received; on the basis of the guidelines of the report the government will probe the matter.
