In Arunachal Pradesh, normal life was paralysed today due to the second Itanagar bandh call in two days. All government offices, business establishments and educational institutions were closed in view of the bandh. Vehicles also stayed off the road. The situation was tense with one group imposing the bandh while another group tried to hold a rally. Rallyists clashed with bandh supporters at different locations and several persons were injured. Security has been beefed up in Itanagar and neighbouring Naharlagun to prevent further escalation of violence.
