In Arunachal Pradesh, normal life has been thrown out of gear due to a series of bandh calls spanning four days since yesterday. The situation became tense today with one group going for a bandh call and another trying to hold a rally. Those holding the rally clashed with bandh supporters at several locations. Police fired several blank rounds to disperse mobs and group clashes at Vivek Vihar area in the state capital this morning.A few vehicles have been set on fire by bandh supporters. There has been no casualty so far though reports of stone pelting, burning of vehicle tyres and road blockades in prominent locations have been received. Security has been beefed up in the twin cities of Itanagar and Naharlagun to prevent escalation of violence.
