Several agreements to be inked during Egyptian President Morsy's India visit beginning today

India and Egypt will sign several agreeements during Egyptian President Dr. Mohamed Morsy's three-day State visit to India. Dr. Morsy arrived in New Delhi last night after a brief stopover at Islamabad. The agreements to be signed include those in the areas of communications & information technology, trade, commerce and investment.
The Egyptian President is leading a high-level delegation comprising senior Ministers and leaders of business and industry. This is Dr. Morsy's first official visit to India. Dr. Morsy will hold delegation level talks with Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh today. The Vice President, the External Affairs Minister, the leader of the Opposition and the UPA Chairperson will call on the visiting President. Later in the day, President Pranab Mukherjee will host a banquet in his honour. He will attend a business meeting of the Confederation of Indian Industry, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry in India. India is Egypt's seventh largest trading partner.
Mr Morsy will fly back to his country tomorrow afternoon.
