A self-styled 'commander-in-chief' of militant outfit United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF) and six of his associates were arrested with arms and ammunition from Mimi village of Arunachal Pradesh. Officials said during a joint operation, personnel of 12 Assam Regiment and state police caught UPDF chief Sumna Munglang and six rebels of the outfit from the village in Lohit district on Monday. The arms and ammunition seized include an AK-56 rifle, one M-21 rifle and explosive material. An amount of 1,86,600 rupees has also been recovered from them.
