Seven suspected Rohingya robbers killed in 'gunfight' with RAB in Bangladesh

In one of the biggest such events, seven Rohingyas were killed in a gunfight with the elite police force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) of Bangladesh in Teknaf, Cox Bazar area on Monday. According to RAB, the Rohingyas were suspected robbers. They were intercepted by the RAB during a robbery attempt near Jadimora hill under Teknaf upazila on Monday morning. RAB also claimed to have recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from them.<br />''<br />''In a separate incident another Rohingya suspected to be a drug dealer was killed in a gunfight with Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) at Jadimora point near Naf river in Teknaf upzila.<br />''<br />''Three BGB men were also injured in the operation. A large quantity of narcotic Yaba pills and live cartridges were recovered from the killed drug peddler.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Several such incidents have been reported in the recent past leading to the killing of Rohingyas in shoot outs and encounters with the police forces since 2017.</span><br />
