In Uttarakhand, seven people died and one was injured after three houses collapsed due to landslide following heavy rain early today in Rajpur area of Dehradun.
AIR correspondent reports, the incident happened in wee hours at Kathbangla area of Rajpur block.
The district administration along with SDRF personels have been deployed to clear the debris.
All 7 bodies have been recovered, while one woman with serious injuries has been admitted to Doon hospital.
Meanwhile, the major rivers of the State are flowing near the danger level.
The administration has advised people residing in low lying areas near the rivers to move to safer places.

The BRO personnel have been pressed into service to clear the debris.
