In Palestine, seven militants were killed and several others injured when Israel destroyed a tunnel running from Gaza into Israel. <br/><br/>Palestinian officials five of those who died were members of Islamic Jihad. The Hamas military wing said two of its members were killed in a rescue effort. <br/><br/>The Israeli military said the tunnel it destroyed yesterday in the southern Gaza Strip, into Israeli territory, was still under construction. <br/><br/>Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel had used breakthrough technology to find and destroy the tunnel.<br/><br/>Israel has destroyed more than 30 tunnels during a 50-day war with militants in Gaza in the summer of 2014, and has found three since then.
