In Pakistan, seven persons, including two security personnel, were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up near a check post outside the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex at Kamra in Punjab province.In another incident, at least 15 people were injured in a car bomb attack outside a restaurant in the northwestern city of Peshawar hours after the suicide bomb attack near the Kamra Aeronautical Complex. Police said, over 50 kgs of explosives was used in the attack.Reports said the restaurant targeted in the attack belonged to the son of a senior leader of the Awami National Party, which is in power in North West Frontier Province and is part of the ruling coalition at the centre.Pakistan has witnessed a wave of deadly bombings and suicide attacks over the past two weeks, suspected to have been carried out by the Taliban. Most of the attacks have targeted security facilities, including the army's General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.Meanwhile, Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani today reviewed the security situation across the country with top civil and military officials.Army chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, ISI head Lt Gen Ahmed Shuja Pasha, Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Defence Minister Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar were among those who attended the meeting, which discussed ways to prevent further attacks by militants.
