In Afghanistan, seven insurgents have been killed during an attack on the Bagram air base. NATO says, five of its troops were injured during the exchanges. A Taliban spokesman Zabaiullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the assault, saying 20 suicide attackers were involved. Bagram is one of the largest military bases in the country, home to mainly US troops. Local media reported that the clash between the militants and the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) started at around 05:00 a.m. local time and was going on. The air base is situated about 50 kilometres north of the Afghan capital. The detention center inside the military base holds some 800 Taliban and al-Qaida terror suspects. On Tuesday, a suicide bomber attacked a NATO convoy in Kabul, killing 18, including five NATO soldiers.<br/>
