Seven Indians enter main draw of Indian Open

As many as seven Indians, including Olympian Anup Sridhar have reached the main draw of the Indian Open Super Series badminton tournament that began at the Siri Fort sport complex in New Delhi on Tuesday. Anup, Sai Praneeth, HS Prannoy and Sourabh Verma notched up contrasting wins to reach the main draw that gets underway on Wednesday. Among girls, former National champion Trupti Murgunde, Sayali Gokhale and rising shuttler PV Sindhu have made their way into the main draw of the 200,000 U.S. dollar event.This is the first ever Super Series event in India.
