Seven drug traffickers hanged in Iran

Iranian has hanged seven men convicted of drug trafficking. The sentences were carried out today in the western city of Kermanshah. Prosecutors said the men smuggled drugs including heroin. The hangings follow the recent executions of eight convicted drug smugglers in the southern city of Qom, and four kidnappers in the city of Zahedan. Human rights groups have criticized Iran for maintaining one of the highest execution rates in the world.
