In Jammu and Kashmir, the overnight heavy mortar shelling by the Pakistani troops in Arnia sector along the International Border in Jammu district has left at least seven civilians and a BSF jawan injured. <br/><br/>BSF sources told AIR that Pakistani troops started firing and shelling targeting Indian positions and civilian areas in Arnia sector around 9:30 PM. <br/><br/>This prompted Border Security Force (BSF) personnel to retaliate effectively. <br/><br/>The exchange of fire and heavy mortar shelling continued till this morning. <br/><br/>The injured who inlcude the women and children have been sent to GMC hospital in Jammu. <br/><br/>Around ten villages including the densely populated Arnia and Allah towns and an equal number of border posts have been targetted with the shelling. <br/><br/>It was the second successive night when the Pakistan's Rangers have pounded the entire sector with heavy mortar shelling. A number of cattles also have been killed or injured and buildings have suffered damages.
