In the last six year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA government has taken several initiatives for infrastructure development in the field of Railway, Civil Aviation and Road, Transport and Higways.<br />”&nbsp;<br />”Prime Minister had said that earlier, the roads and the highways had no connection with the rail network. Similarly, the rail had no connectivity with the port and the port had no connectivity with the airport. Launching the infrastructure projects in Bihar on 21st of this month, Mr Modi had said, today, multi-modal connectivity is being emphasized in the country.<br />”&nbsp;<br />”AIR correspondent reports that 102 lakh crore rupees infrastructure projects will be implemented in the next five years as part of the government's spending push in the infrastructure sector.<br />”&nbsp;<br />”<span style="color: #222222;">In the field of Railways, the government has planned for 100 per cent electrification of its broad gauge routes by 2023. Around 63 per cent broad gauge lines have already been electrified as on 1st of April this year. In Civil Aviation sector, 766 air routes have been sanctioned so far under the Regional Connectivity Scheme, UDAN. <br />”<br />”Government has approved 78 new routes under the 4th round of UDAN scheme to further enhance the connectivity to remote and regional areas of the country. Road, Transport and Highways Ministry has proposed to develop additional 60 thousand kilometres of National Highways in the next five years. Under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana, One lakh 25 thousand kilometers of roads will be constructed to strengthen rural roads and connect them to schools, hospitals and agricultural markets.</span><br />
