Seva Saptah: Modi govt lays lot of emphasis on improving health infrastructure

<span style="color: #222222;">In our series on Seva Saptah, today we bring you a special story on Ayushman Bharat. In the last six years, the Narendra Modi government has laid a lot of emphasis on improving the health infrastructure in the country to provide &nbsp;affordable and quality healthcare to the countrymen.<br />”<br />”The government is implementing &nbsp;a flagship scheme – Ayushman Bharat, to achieve the vision of Universal Health Coverage (UHC).&nbsp; This scheme aims to undertake path breaking interventions to holistically address the healthcare system covering prevention, promotion and ambulatory care &nbsp;at the primary, secondary and tertiary level. Ayushman Bharat adopts a continuum of care approach, comprising two interrelated components, which are -Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs) and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). Launching the &nbsp;Ayushman Bharat- Jan Aarogya Yojana from Jharkhnad on 23rd September, 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, it &nbsp;is the world's largest scheme that aims at providing health assurance of up to five lakh rupees to more than 50 crore &nbsp;people of the country.</span><br />
