Setting up of PM MITRA parks will provide global market to India's handlooms, textiles & weaving traditions: Dharmendra Pradhan

<span style="color: #222222;">Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that the setting up of PM MITRA parks, as approved by cabinet yesterday will provide a global market to India's glorious handlooms, textiles and weaving traditions. He said, it will also create world class integrated textile value chain and strengthen the Make in India initiative.<br />''<br />''The Union Minister said that PM MITRA will empower the country's textile belt including Odisha. He said, each of the park can generate one lakh direct and two lakh indirect employment in the concerned region. He said, under the scheme, the state government has to provide more than 1000 acres of land along with ancillary facilities for the park to take shape. Union Government will provide development capital support to the tune of  500 crore rupees for green field park and 200 crore rupees for Brownfield parks, the minister added.</span>
