BJP today demanded setting up of special courts to deal with the issue of corruption in the North-Eastern region to ensure speedy disposal of cases. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Party President Nitin Gadkari alleged that scandals and scams to the tune of 58,000 crore rupees had occurred in the North-East. He demanded a time-bound probe into them. Releasing a report by his party's fact finding team on alleged scams taking place in the North-East, Gadkari said, it is unfortunate that all the scandals and scams are taking place in Congress-ruled states.
