Former Judge of the Supreme Court Justice V R Krishna Iyer has appealed to the Prime Minister to set up an Appointment Commission for the selection of judges, after investigation into their integrity, patriotism and high values. In a letter, Justice Krishna Iyer said the reputation of judiciary was low as several cases of corruption are now freely discussed in the streets and in the press. He said an enquiry into corruption in judiciary was necessary to end the shocking situation.
