US Attorney General Jeff Sessions has denied any involvement in alleged collusion between Donald Trump's election campaign team and Russia. Testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee yesterday, Sessions called the allegation an appalling and detestable lie. <br/><br/>Sessions, who was an adviser to President Donald Trump's 2016 president campaign, said he met twice with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak last year, but denied the reports that he had a third undisclosed meeting with Kislyak at a Washington hotel last April. <br/><br/>He said that while he raised the issue of Ukraine with the ambassador, he does not recall bringing up any other issues during their meetings. <br/><br/>The public hearing follows last week's Congressional hearing for former FBI director James Comey, who referred to Sessions' ties with Russia.
