In Gujarat, Ahmedabad session court will resume hearing the bail application of arrested IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt today. Meanwhile, a review petition filed by the police for his remand has been adjourned to 30th November. Bhatt was arrested on 30th September in following a complaint of abducting and forcefully recording the statement of a police constable K.D.Pant. AIR correspondent reports that Suspended IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt was arrested on 30th September and sent in judicial custody after Ahmedabad rural court had rejected his police remand. Earlier, Bhatt had filed an affidavit in Supreme Court alleging complicity by Chief Minister Narendra Modi during post-Godhra riots. Later, he was charge sheeted by the state Government and suspended for alleged unauthorized absence from duty.
