The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 205 points, or 1.2 percent, to 17,257, on fresh buying by investors, amid market reports of some clarifications on taxing foreign investors, and rising global markets, today. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange gained 59 points, or 1.1 percent, to 5,243.Stock markets in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and South Korea rose between 1 percent and 2.4 percent, after US central bank chief Ben Bernanke signaled that he will continue to stimulate the US economy.
