Services emerged as champions in the 35th National Games with 91 Gold medals. This is a record for the Services team, as they have topped the medals tally in National Games for the third consecutive time.As the 35th National Games concluded in Thiruvananthapuram Friday evening, hosts Kerala made a golden rush in athletic events, on the concluding day. Kerala team capped with five Gold medals, 5 Silver medals and four Bronze medals Friday alone. In women's 800 metres, there were no challengers for Kerala's Tintu Luka, who won Gold medal with a new meet record, clocking two minutes and 1.36 seconds. The 4 x 400 metre Kerala women's relay team, which included Tintu Luka also struck Gold, with a new meet record.Services emerged as champions in the 35th National Games with 91 Gold medals. The concluding ceremony of the 35th National Games will be held at the greenfield stadium at Kariavattom on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram today. Kerala Governor Justice P Sathasivam will be the chief guest.A cultural programme titled Rivers of India, with the theme protecting the rivers will be the highlight. Artistes from Goa, which will host the next national games, will present programmes.
