In Tamil Nadu, a series of relaxations have been announced, with effect from the 1st of September. The e-Pass system for inter-district travel within the State is dispensed with. For inter-state travel, the ePass will be auto-generated after applying through the portal meant for it. <br />''<br />''A statement from the Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami says the decision on the relaxations have been taken based on the assessment of the ground situation in the State and to safeguard the livelihood interests of the public.<br />''<br />''AIR Correspondent reports, a slew of far-reaching relaxations are seen in the announcement today, that will come into force from coming Tuesday. Public and private transport within the districts including in Chennai is allowed from Tuesday. The Chennai Metro train service will resume operation from the 7th September. <br />''<br />''Shopping malls and big format stores are allowed to open, though cinema halls in them are asked to remain closed. All places of worship are being thrown open for devotees, and the upper ceiling of people to be allowed at a time is to be determined soon. Hotels, resorts, recreation clubs and parks will open up for the guests. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Film shooting with a maximum of 75 people at a time is permitted. The usual full lockdown on Sundays is also given a go by. All factories and offices in the whole state are allowed to function in full strength. Educational institutions will remain largely closed.
