At least three miners were killed and over 50 trapped following a series of blasts this morning, in a coal mine in Quetta, capital city of Balochistan province in southwest Pakistan. The accident took place when the gas accumulated due to poor ventilation in a mine in Sorang area of Quetta and prompted three blasts. The death toll could further rise as more than 50 miners were stranded inside the mine. A rescue operation has already been launched to bring out the trapped workers.
