Series of attacks rock Iraq

A series of attacks rocked Iraq toady, which claimed 70 lives altogether and wounded nearly 250 people.<br/><br/>The deadliest attacks took place in Hilla textile factory where two car bombs and a suicide bomber with explosive belt targeted people who were leaving the facility’s compound. <br/><br/>According to Voice of Iraq news agency, at least 55 people were killed and 220 others wounded in the triple attack. The incident occurred when two car bombs hit the factory’s staff and when people gathered at the attack’s location, a suicide bomber hit them.<br/><br/>In other separate incidents throughout the day, fifteen people have been killed and 35 others wounded across the country. Seven security personnel were killed and 11 other servicemen were wounded in attacks by unknown gunmen on six checkpoints in Baghdad today. The gunmen used guns with silencers in all the attacks.<br/><br/>In a separate incident today, two policemen were killed and 13 persons including seven policemen were wounded when three roadside bombs went off in Baghdad.<br/><br/>In another incident five civilians were killed and seven others wounded when unknown gunmen detonated four houses belonging to security elements in central Falluja city. Also in Eastern Falluja city one woman was killed and four civilians were wounded when unknown gunmen detonated a house.
