Serena is now just one step away to win her seventh Australian Open and 22nd Grand Slam title. In the other semifinal this morning, Angelique Kerber defeated Johanna Konta 7-5, 6-2. With this loss, Johanna Konta's bid to become the first British female to reach a Grand Slam final since Virginia Wade in 1977 was unsuccessful.In the Men's Singles, semi-finals match between world number one Novak Djokovic and third seed Roger Federer is underway. Both players have met 44 times in the past, and each have won equal number of matches. The second semi-final is slated between world number two Andy Murray and Milos Raonic.India's tennis star Sania Mirza and her Croatian partner Ivan Dodig entered the mixed doubles semifinals at the Australian Open after posting straight-set win over defending champions L ander Paes and Martina Hingis today. Sania and Dodig got the better of Indo-Swiss pair of Paes and Hingis 7-6, 6-3 in the quarterfinal encounter. The top seeded Indo-Croat pair of Mirza-Dodig will next face fifth seeds Elena Vesnina and Bruno Soares for a spot in the summit clash.
